This very nice SPRINT VELOCE is a TWO OWNER, European Delivery example.

The first owners were Jack and Marilyn Early. The Earlys took delivery in Paris which was arranged by Henry Manney 111 who at the time was a contributing editor at Road and Track based in Europe. The Earlys Toured Europe in their new Alfa. The Earlys had been involved with the West Coast Sports Car Movement in the beginning. Jack worked with Phil Hill, Richie Ginther and others at International Motors, then with Ernie McAfe in the Siata 8V days.

They returned to the US and enjoyed the Car for 24 years before selling the Alfa in 1984 to the current owner who is a Professional Automotive Photographer.

The Alfa is very correct, straight and rust free. The older repaint and exterior rechrome is shiny and very presentable. The interior is decent but not exactly correct.

Evan Wilson’s GIULIETTA Book states that there were 539 SPRINT VELOCES produced in 1960. This one with the Interim Body (between 750 and 101 series) and the VELOCE ENGINE is in the first third of production for 1960. The car still retains its Original Engine, 4 speed Gearbox and California Black Plates.

The Engine was Rebuilt by Auto Italia in Glendale approx 5000 to 6000 miles ago as stated by the owner. Recent work consists of a service, New Fuel Pump and Battery.

This Alfa Runs, Drives and Shifts good while Tracking Straight.
